October Workshop at Moderato Level, with Accommodation in Double Rooms

Here is the program for the Moderato dance workshop in October with Vincent PARODI at Clos des Capucins (Yenne).

We will have approximately 60 dancers, mainly women!

The workshop is at the MODERATO level: Participants are expected to know the basic steps of Israeli dance and have one year of regular practice. These are not beginner's workshops but intermediate ones where there is time to learn and revise.

New this year, we will offer 2 workshops with 2 rhythms during the workshop! This means that during one of Vincent's workshops with new dances, Amandine will offer a "gentle" workshop in another room. An opportunity to re-explain the steps of a dance from the official program or certain basic steps based on the needs observed. Everyone can choose to learn new dances or practice those already learned at a relaxed pace.

Clos des Capucins is a former convent surrounded by a large park in the heart of the Savoie region. The welcome is very warm, the rooms are comfortable, and the cuisine is varied and of high quality.

Dance classes and evening gatherings take place in the Clos chapel (with a wooden floor).

According to our ancestral traditions, everyone brings a specialty from their region (solid and liquid, sweet or savory, bought or homemade!) that we will enjoy during the evening gatherings or aperitifs. Fridges are available.

Workshop Schedule:

- On the first day, we expect you from 2:00 PM for key collection and payment. The dance itself starts at 4:00 PM.

- Other days:
  - Breakfast from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM
  - Warm-up with Christiane starting at 8:50 AM
  - Dance: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM - Main class with Vincent Parodi
  - Lunch: 12:45 PM
  - Workshop: 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM with Amandine
  - Dance: 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM - Main class with Vincent Parodi
  - Revision of workshop dances with Amandine: 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  - Relaxation time with Anaïs: 6:00 PM to 6:20 PM
  - Aperitif: 7:00 PM
  - Dinner: 7:30 PM
  - Evening gathering from 9:00 PM. Remember to bring your sweet or savory specialties to share!

- Tuesday is a free afternoon!

The workshop ends after breakfast on the last day (10:00 AM).

Please bring dance shoes, sneakers (the dance room has a wooden floor), and earplugs, as dance workshops sometimes have late and noisy evening gatherings!

For the free half-day:

bring shoes and swimwear according to your choice of activities (nap, sightseeing, swimming, walks...).

For the video:

Throughout the workshop, a person we have informed will film all the dances from the program and send them to you at the end of the workshop. For music and video files, you can retrieve them directly via a link sent by email at the end of the workshop.

This year again, the Team Yenne will be there with you: Amandine (workshop, dance revision, evening entertainment), Anaïs (logistics, warm-up, relaxation, etc.), and Marcel for logistics and the aperitif, of course! 😉

How to get here?

- The nearest SNCF train station is Chambéry. If you need to be picked up, please let us know 10 days before the start of the workshop by email. A contribution to the expenses will be requested (approximately 10/15 euros per journey). We group arrivals at Chambéry station, with most trains arriving between 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM, so thank you for your patience. After 3:00 PM, there are shuttles departing from near the station to Yenne every 40 minutes. For departures, we ask you to take trains from 10:00 AM at Chambéry station, which gives you time to pack your suitcase and return the keys to Clos after breakfast and for us to take you to the station.

- To get to Clos des Capucins by car:
  - From Lyon: Lyon-Chambéry highway, exit LES ABRETS, direction AOSTE ST GENIX SUR GUIERS
  - From Paris: Paris-Bourg en Bresse highway, exit AMBERIEU, direction BELLEY-YENNE
  - From Grenoble: Grenoble-Chambéry highway, direction AIX LES BAINS-BOURGET DU LAC then YENNE via the tunnel du chat
  - From Annecy: Annecy-Aix les Bains highway, exit VIVIERS DU LAC, direction LE BOURGET DU LAC then YENNE via the tunnel du chat
